Terms & Conditions
These terms govern your use of the Seaty mobile app and related transport booking services.
1. Agreement
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Seaty mobile app and related services ("Seaty"), operated by Hashnate ("we", "us"), #44, 1/1, Main Street, Kinniya, Trincomalee, Sri Lanka. By creating an account or using Seaty, you agree to these terms.
2. Eligibility
You must be able to form a legally binding contract to use Seaty. If you are booking travel for someone else (e.g. a family member), you confirm you're authorised to provide their details for that purpose.
3. Accounts
You're responsible for the accuracy of the information on your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
4. Bookings, pricing, and fees
- Seat availability is shown in real time but is not guaranteed until a booking is confirmed and paid for.
- The price shown for a trip is the per-seat fare set by the operator, plus a Seaty platform fee. Both are calculated by our backend systems at the time of booking — the total you're charged is never set by the app itself.
- A maximum number of seats applies per booking; check the app for the current limit.
- Seat holds are temporary — if payment isn't completed before a hold expires, the seat automatically becomes available to other passengers.
5. Payments
Payments are processed through our payment gateway. By booking, you authorise us to charge the total price shown for that booking. Prices are in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) unless stated otherwise.
6. Cancellations and refunds
Cancellation and refund terms depend on the operator and how close to departure you cancel. Contact support (Section 11) with your booking reference for help with a specific booking.
7. Conduct
When using Seaty you agree not to:
- Provide false identity or booking information.
- Attempt to access another user's account or data without authorisation.
- Interfere with the operation of the app, API, or another user's ability to use the service.
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
8. Bus operators and conductors
Bus operator ("owner") accounts are responsible for the accuracy of their vehicle, schedule, and pricing information, and for the conduct of conductors they add to their company. Vehicles must be verified before they can accept bookings.
9. Live tracking
Live GPS tracking is provided by the operator's vehicle during an active trip and is intended as an estimate to help passengers plan their boarding — actual arrival times may vary with traffic and road conditions.
10. Limitation of liability
Seaty connects passengers with independent bus operators; we are not the carrier. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hashnate is not liable for delays, cancellations, or the acts or omissions of bus operators, drivers, or conductors. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Sri Lankan law.

12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service changes. Continued use of Seaty after a change means you accept the updated terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date at the top of this page.
